I could really care less about breaking some DRM law or "international copyright law". I would love to see them try to enforce it.
Just because a man can do a thing does not mean that he should do that thing. Whether or not you will get caught breaking the law is irrelevant to whether what you are doing is or is not legal. I can go to the supermarket or gas station and steal a bag of ice from outside without getting caught, but it doesn't mean what I'm doing is okay. You might say it's not a big deal--it only costs a dollar, and anyway the supermarket makes tons of money off the other things that they sell, and they probably don't deserve all that money because they underpay their employees.
Moral relativism and justification might make you feel fine about doing it, but it's still wrong and it's still illegal. If you don't care, that's your thing.

MacRumors has changed too much.
No I'm not just blabbering on and on, there was a community, of friends, of people you know and can talk to.
Now -- Its just like on random threads people are really really nasty.
I mean even just repost, people can yell repost, but its more like 'Why the hell did you repost this... God I've seen this 10000000x times... Geez this AGAIN!'
I mean it was alright before if you just didn't talk to people outside the forums, but now its not even like people want to talk to anyway.
Members don't care much about the forums or apple or anything specific there are -- they are all just here.
I mean it just happened right before the forum change skins, everyone started to get nasty.
I dunno if anyone can be done but heck I remember were members would get their birthday posted in community disc. but not anymore.
Just like today for my birthday.

I've had MacRumors in my bookmark for a long time and never really ventured into the Forums section. In fact, I had tried other forums in the past but they sucked and were not helpful what-so-ever. So, I never joined another forum, thinking most were all like that other one I tried. THEN, out of curiousity I looked into MacRumors forum and was very impressed with how helpful everyone was and how objective most of the MacHeadz in this forum were. So, I sign-in and started posting and it's been a great teaching and learning tool.
PS-> ya need to work on sprucing up the the site alittle and perhaps letting people know what a great source your forums are for newbies and experienced alike.

If IBM's presentation at the San Jose Fairmont Hotel the morning of October 15th indicates that Power4 is shipping in quantity soon thereafter, I'll be forced to wait until January. I could see Apple offering a single or dual Power4 Mac at a higher price than the dual 1.25 sooner than 6 months henceforth. Perhaps $3,999. Point being that if it's going to be November (which I do believe) then we might as well wait for Steve's MWSF presentation to see what's next. Not that he's necessarily going to tell us then. But that perhaps he'll tell us then.
The other factor will be some benchmarks on the 1.25 to see how much faster it really is. And the other factor is if it is a 7470 or not. Another factor is lust. Another factor is impatience. Another factor is the developement of OS X.2.2 or 2.3. There are an awful lot of bugs in this 10.2.0 that have scared me off of upgrading. I have a very happy and what I percieve to be fast 10.1.5 running on an "old" 500 MHz/100MHz/1.5 GB/100 GB/GF2 CUBE running SILENT.
So while I would like to boost my capability 5+ times, which I'm sure the dual 1.25 would do, I would also like to wait a little longer and boost my capability 10 times or more which I think the first generation Power4 may do.
I also may not have a clue. But I guarantee you I will be in the room when IBM explains what they're up to with the Power4 Processor the morning of October 15th at the San Jose Fairmont Hotel.

I saw the Orlando CompUSA packed with more people in the tiny Mac section than the entire store. I am curious what the percentage of total sales is Mac related vs PC crap. Of course some software and hardware works with both so I am sure they count that as Windows related sales.
I would like to visit a CompUSA in 10 years and see a tiny section in the corner of Microsoft Windows Vista and the rest of the store focused on Apple and Linux. I am sure Microsoft will still be on Vista by then.

I would love to work at an apple store but the closest one is 30 minutes away on a good day- I'd be spending half my salary on gas :eek: 9 bucks an hour sounds a lot- and it is for a high schooler, but with those darned taxes once you get out of the part of your life where your parents basically pay for anything, it's not a huge amount :p

Besides Apple, Formac's the only one that's got an ADC connection. All the rest are DVI or VGA. :)
